Turmoil+ is a free-to-download simulation game by developer Gamious B.V. It is an oil mining simulator inspired by the North American Oil Rush during the 19th century. In it, players are budding entrepreneurs looking to take advantage of the surge in oil supply to establish a profitable business.

Much like Oil Era or Oil Mining 3D, Turmoil+ lets players experience what it's like to become an oil tycoon in the backdrop of old Western America. This has fun and strategic gameplay, where you build your rags-to-riches oil tycoon career and as you grow your business, the town also grows with you.

Oil tycoon

Turmoil+ takes place during the North American Oil Rush at the turn of the 19th century. You are looking to take advantage of this untapped source of wealth to establish a mining empire as an oil baron. With the included The Heat Is On DLC, you get a new town and mayor to work with, as well as an oil map divided into three sections.

To start in the game, you will need to lease land and build a mining rig first. Once done, you can start digging for oil, store it in your silos, and sell it to turn a profit. You'll also hire workers which in turn will help grow and develop the town. Buy essential upgrades to help deal with materials like rock, gas, and ice.

You'll also get to meet the town's people, ranging from shady individuals like Philip to fellow business owners, such as Edward or Fred to work together with. Participate in auctions to acquire more land to expand your business' reach. Now, the only thing to be aware of is that this game is exclusive to Apple Arcade, so you'll need to have a subscription in order to play it.

All in all, Turmoil+ is a solid oil mining simulator to add to the list of great titles to consider for mobile. There's plenty to do and various characters to meet and interact with. The old Western setting is also a nice touch and adds to the immersive and authentic experience. You need an Apple Arcade subscription, though, but if that's not an issue, then you're good.
